Hello/Goodbye

Resident Artist Focus

Jul 17th - Aug 13th, 2026

Each year The Clay Studio welcomes our new Resident Artists as we bid farewell to Residents moving on to other programs, teaching opportunities, and the next steps in their career. Hello/Goodbye includes the work by exiting Residents are Celia Feldberg, Michael Dika and Soojin Choi, recent Residents Jeanne Robertson, Ruth Easterbrook and Josephine Mette Larsen, continuing Residents Bradford Davis, Dehmie Dehmlow, Adrían Gómez, Jeremiah Ibarra, Daeun Lim, Nicholas Malik, Micah Sweezie, Robert Zumwalt, and two of our incoming resident artists, Arista Wilson and Michelle Solorzano.

The Resident Artist Program focuses on professional development and provides studio space, teaching and exhibition opportunities, and career mentoring. Funding from the WIndgate Foundation, we are able to offer Residents free studio space and a monthly stipend for up to three years. The program is quite competitive and has an international reputation for excellence.  Former Residents now sit on the faculties of major colleges and universities nationally, have gallery representation, exhibit their work nationally and internationally, and have their works included in major private and public museum collections. Five Resident Artist alumni have been recipients of Pew Artist Fellowships, our region’s highest honor for individual artistic excellence.
