Tricia Sittauer is a ceramic artist based in Philadelphia. Inspired by her upbringing on various wildlife refuges across rural America, her work captures the patterns and textures of our natural landscape. Working sculpturally as well as on the wheel, Sittauer is driven by the meditative process of pattern making. The search for repetition is not only the most important part of creating, but also a means of engaging with the world around her.
Sittauer earned her BFA in Ceramics from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2025. She has exhibited work at the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College, Tufts University, the University of Massachusetts, and Tyler School of Art. Outside of her personal practice, Sittauer is an instructor at multiple community studios in the Philadelphia area as well as a studio technician.
