The Clay Studio Collection

Ongoing

Apr 30th - Sep 29th, 2022

Join us to see The Clay Studio Collection on view for the first time in our new building at 1425 N. American Street.

The Clay Studio Collection consists of artworks made by former and/or current Guest-Artists-Residence, Visiting Artists, Associate Artists, and former and/or current students who have developed significant careers in the arts.

A sub category of the Collection consists of what is referred to as the Bisque Library. This is work made by various demonstrating artists over the years. While artworks may include a variety of materials, the focus of the Collection is on ceramic artworks and artworks that engage with the medium and/or history of clay.

Funding to catalogue the Collection was generously provided by the Henry Luce Foundation. Nicole Cooke and Heath Ballowe served as Collection Researchers and collected the information now available in our database.
