Sam Scott

Oct 3rd - Nov 2nd, 2014

This month in our Bonovitz Space we are displaying the beautifully crafted work of Washington State artist Sam Scott. Scott's work was a natural fit for October as DesignPhiladelphia takes over our town. The graceful lines of these midcentury modern forms along with the intricate yet perfectly glazed surfaces offer a comforting alternative to the mass produced junk that graces the shelves in most home goods stores.

Sams Scott's interest in ceramics began in high school with a pottery class in 1968. He  graduated in 1975 with a BFA from the University of Washington.
Scotts work has been featured in books and magazines as well as galleries, most notably at the Bellevue Art Museum and the Smithsonian Institution.
