Claymobile is our mobile community engagement program, partnering with schools, neighborhood organizations, and a wide range of social service agencies across the region. We provide innovative, hands-on learning experiences that use the tactile medium of clay to nurture imagination, critical thinking, and persistence. Since its inception in 1994, Claymobile has served more than 50,000 youth and adults.
Today, our dedicated team of seven teaching artists focuses exclusively on community engagement—teaching 860 classes at over 105 sites and serving more than 5,800 people each year. Claymobile is recognized as a national model for equity-driven arts education programs. Our talented and deeply invested artist-educators include Anissa Ben Jaballah, Kayla Johnson, Laure Krumenacker, Mattie Lacognata, FAO Schwarz Fellow Emily Lu, Abby O’Brien, Nitza Walesca, and Community Engagement Manager Tessa Kennamer.
The Claymobile Creations Exhibition features work from our Fall 2025 residencies, highlighting projects exploring motion created by K to 12th grade students and adult participants.
