Art + Science: Glaze Focus

Ceramic glaze is defined as an impervious coating of vitreous substance that fuses to a ceramic body through ring. Each artist in Art + Science has an unique relationship with glaze and how it interfaces with the formal volume of their sculpture. This exhibition will explore and explain the scienti c aspect of a wide range of glaze types, with direct information about the chemical compounds used to create them. In addition, the artists will share the alchemical properties of working with these complex mixtures.
