As part of celebrating its 50th anniversary, The Clay Studio is thrilled to launch its new Digital Fabrication Studio, a clay-centered makerspace, that expands the creative resources TCS provides to artists at all levels. Generously funded by The Knight Foundation, this studio offers access to cutting-edge digital fabrication tools and educational programs, opening up opportunities for artists and students in our community to experiment, innovate, and evolve their practices.

Digital Fabrication Studio:

  • Located on the 3rd floor adjacent to the Shared Artist Studio

  • Point of contact: Audrey An, Prototyping & Digital Fabrication Studio Manager

  • New 10-week community class titled Digital Clay (Two classes per term). 

    • Learn how to use 3d modeling softwares to generate a form for slip-casting and/or direct clay printing.

    • Learn custom tool-making for aiding handbuilding and/or wheel-throwing, etc.
