I am interested in how form and images infuence each other as well as the viewer. I paint images on my work as ornamentation but also as a way for the viewer to bring their own contextual meanings to the work. I explore how a
form, its ornamentation and the viewers own context speak to each other. Form enhances an image and vice versa.

Painted images are a form of ornamentation that speaks to ancestry, history and memory. Form, as well as ornamentation, in itself is beautiful and mesmerizing yet, form within a diferent context presents new meaning for every viewer.

In my work, I tell stories that the viewer rewrites.
