Artist Statement
The sculptures are about life
concerning the environment
Consumerism
Material shame
The unconsciousness
and
Art as therapy.
It concerns the body
the way that we occupy and effect space
A care for organic, smooth shapes that move towards defying gravity
the lean that puts one off balance
they emulate a moment in time
Ecosystems within their own space, filled with a variety of materials
reflecting my emotional state which is constantly changing
Constantly ending and being recreated again.
Bio
Brittany Rose Snyder graduated from Moore College of Art & Design in 2017. She works and lives in Philadelphia, PA. Currently straddling functional ceramic work, sculpture and working in a coffee shop, she is an obsessive productive machine.
