Alex Stadler is an illustrator, author, artist, and textile designer. He graduated from RISD in 1990.
Stadler has written and illustrated ten books for children, including the Beverly Billingsly series/Harcourt, Lila Bloom/FSG, Duncan Rumplemeyer's Bad Birthday/Simon & Schuster, and the Julian Rodriguez middle grade series/Scholastic. His adult titles include What Willie Wore/Chronicle and Mr Alexander's Four Steps to Love/Quirk Books. As an illustrator he has worked for Pegasus (Charlene Likes to Make Noise), Quirk Books (Kitty Kapers, Doggy Days,The Good Deed Guide), The Philadelphia Inquirer, babyGap and Comme des Garçons. Stadler lives, works and runs his gallery/design shop hybrid, Stadler-Kahn, in Philadelphia. PA.
