Pandy Bevans attended the High School of Music and Art (now known as LaGuardia High School) in New York City and began working immediately after highschool as a commercial artist. She continued in this line, with occasional forays into fabric design, painting, batih, and other crafts until moving to Philadelphia in 1979. After taking a class at the Clay Studio, she decided to continue her ceramic education at Moore College of Art for a year before joining The Clay Studio as a resident artist in 1980. She is now working in porcelain doing nonfunctional vessel forms and experimenting with handbuilt sculptural shapes and colored clays (Artist Statement from 1980).
