We offer classes year round in handbuilding, wheel-throwing, casting and glazing, for people of all ages, from beginner to advanced. Our classes are taught by top practitioners.
We offer workshops for a variety of skill levels, ages, and interests, including family workshops and master artist workshops.
With half-day and full-day programs throughout the summer, kids ages 6 and up can explore the exciting world of clay.

Claymobile
Our Claymobile brings a "popup" ceramics studio to your school, neighborhood organization, or social service agency anywhere in the Philadelphia region. We believe that creativity for all is a critical force for good.

My work speaks to a broad AfroFuturist impulse to dream forward and imagine a future where Blackness is recognized as expansive, complex, and fully human.The characters reflect aspects of my own lived experience, and elements like posture, hair, gesture, and navigation of unfamiliar spaces quietly signal Blackness.

A meditation on grief, love, and the complexities of vulnerability. Through black clay coils that echo braided hair and maternal care, Jackson explores the tension between strength and fragility. A gilded, kintsugi-inspired wall anchors the accompanying sculptures, asking: Can we honor brokenness without fetishizing pain? Can love gather in the cracks of imperfection?
Minah Kim explores how we navigate the distance and nearness between ourselves and the pain of others. Her sculptures and installations reveal the paradox of seeking empathy amid the impossibility of fully grasping another’s suffering—transforming personal memory and collective trauma into spaces for shared reflection.

This porcelain collection is inspired by a parable poem written by my late brother, ernie batiste iv. In its entirety it reads: the man who climbed the mountain after he came down, he turned, shielded his eyes against the snow’s reflection and saw that the mountain was still there.
