Important Clay Camp Information
AGE AND ABILITIES
We design each of our classes with instructors to develop curriculum that works best with the age range that is listed for each class. Please pay attention to the age ranges listed when registering for Clay Camps. We want to ensure the best experience for everyone.
CAMP CONTENT
Clay Camp participants make new work Monday through Friday and decorate their work with colorful slips. Every class session includes time for cleaning up.
COMPLETED PROJECTS
Your child will be encouraged to create several clay art projects throughout the week. All work will be left at The Clay Studio to be clear-glazed and fired. Please remind your child to label their work clearly. The Clay Studio will sort and bag finished camp work based on how it is labeled. Sometimes we have items that we cannot read the label on so please bring your child with you when picking up completed work to help identify their creations. Completed projects will be ready for pick up approximately two weeks after their camp ends. We will call you when your child's work is ready to be picked up.
WHAT TO WEAR
Clay Camp participants should wear clothes that can get messy and closed toe shoes (sneakers or crocs are great, no flip-flops or sandals). Those enrolled in camps that use the potter's wheel should bring an old towel with them.
SNACK TIME
Everyday, Clay Camp participants will take a short snack break. Please pack a small non-perishable snack for your child and be sure to label the bag with their name.
DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP
Please drop off and pick up your child at The Clay Studio's School, located on the 3rd Floor, every day they have camp. Please do not arrive too early and be sure to pick your child up promptly at the end of each camp session.
