My goal is to create complex functional objects that move, both visually and physically, in a contained yet dynamic way. I am continually exploring ways to reference the motion and gesture of the human body, and other natural forms, in my work. I carve and brush movement and energy into my pieces, by animating the surfaces with fine linear patterns and brushstrokes. I am influenced by ancient and contemporary works, often finding inspiration in antiquities, especially where decoration is taken to the extreme.

I intend for the user to be intrigued by this sense of energy, to be drawn in by the nuances of the pieces; and I look forward to my work finding a special place among the user’s possessions.
