Both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques are used to create the clay forms that are further embellished with applied and drawn decoration, often covering the surfaces like fabric or netting. Pots are decorated before the first, or bisque firing, and again with glaze before the final firing, which is to 2200° in an oxidation environment. Multicolored glazing accentuates the network of panels, adding visual movement and energy to the flat and curved planes. "
