The Clay Studio

work exchange program

The Clay Studio's Work Exchange Program provides individuals a period of intense focus, on the creation and development of their own work. It affords them 24/7 access to a shared studio as well as free materials and firings. The Clay Studio's vibrant artistic community offers Work Exchange Program Participants a rare opportunity to experience first hand, the lives of working artists, arts administrators, and educators.

The Program is geared towards recent ceramic graduates (BFA’s) as well as ceramic artists interested in furthering their ceramic education and portfolio development. This is an opportunity for artists to join a supportive educational environment while building their resume with essential knowledge and studio skills.

In exchange, Work Exchange Program Participants will provide The Clay Studio 40 hours of work per month. Hours and times will be scheduled based on the needs of The Clay Studio. Examples of the type of work to be performed include: studio assistance, teaching assistance, gallery assistance, retail sales, tours, public demonstrations, community outreach, etc.
